A comprehensive look at a person’s use and relationship with substances and the impact on their personal, family, & work life. This also includes an examination of any related/unrelated criminal justice involvement. The American Society of Addiction Medicine Criteria-Patient Placement Criteria (ASAM-PPC2r) is used to help determine the appropriate level of care and support services for substance use, co-occurring mental health, & medical conditions such as HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and pain.
A referral to a higher level of care (i.e. detox, intensive outpatient) will be provided when deemed clinically and medically necessary.
